Second and third preferences, respectively, will be to a Caruthersville High School graduate and a Hayti High School graduate with a 3.0 GPA, financial need, and willingness to attend Southeast Missouri State University. The scholarship award is to be used for fees and is open to undergraduate and graduate students.

She also studied flute with Dr. Charles Smith and Paul Thompson. Dr. Chapman is survived by his wife, Nona Nan Chapman, and his children Jennifer Jean Albertina and Christopher Paul Chapman. Mrs. Chapman has two daughters, Leslie Ramelle Lipps Sarna and Lisa Michelle Lipps Bratina.

Application forms are available in the Theatre and Dance department. Applicants must schedule an appointment with the department for an audition or portfolio presentation. The recipient of this scholarship must be a traditional student from Williamsville, Missouri. They must have junior status with preference to those applicants with financial need. He was a gentle and kind Christian man committed to creating a safe home where one could learn, grow and seek all that God could enable.

Dr. Robert Butler, a Webster Groves dentist, established this scholarship in memory of his mother. Phil (’72) and Steve (’78) feel a strong connection to Southeast Missouri and are especially grateful for the education they received at Southeast.
